Do you blog?
Do you think you’re really producing creative contents with
your writing skills?
But how do you actually know your content is worth reading?
It is when you get a lot of traffic to your site and you’re rewarded for the
same. As a blogger, if you aren’t able to attract people with your content
then there is a lack of creativity in your content. How do you
actually overcome this? With writing tips guys. If you’re looking to enhance
your writing skills then you’re at the right place because in this blog I will
enlist some of the great writing tips for you.
Make sure to read the entire article so that you don’t miss
out any important point.
Let’s get started now.
Best writing tips for your blog post
1. Eye catching headlines
The very first tip for writing a blog is to create a headline
that can compel your readers to click on the post and read the content. No
matter how many details you have added in your content, but that will of no
worth it if users don’t even click on the content to read it. So how do you create
a compelling heading? There are some points you should follow:
·
First of all, include the keyword in your main heading
·
Your main heading on the page should be the H1
·
Try to make your subheading H2 and sub-sub heading H3
·
Try to make heading short and compelling
2.
Write
engaging opening lines
Like the headline, your opening lines should be engaging enough
to stop your reader to stay on your site. You need to start your content in this
way that a reader feels like keep reading it till the end. What type of line
you should start your content with? You can ask your readers a question or a
rhetoric question, you can also puzzle them by saying something unexpected,
etc. (You can see how I started this blog and my other blogs)
3.
Make your
sentence length and structure different
As a blogger, you should know that sentence length and
structure vary from each other. If you keep writing the blog with the same
length and structure then your readers will surely get bored while reading. So
try to make your sentence look diverse in structure and length. It will make
your writing pleasant to read.
4.
Trim the sentences
We all know what trimming is. In parlors, you trim your hair
that is unnecessary and doesn’t give a good look. Likewise, you trim words that
make your writing jargonized. Let me explain this with an example below:
·
Jordan was writing about his friend
·
Jordan wrote about his friend
You can see from the above example, the second one sounds more
forceful. Therefore, try to cut unnecessary words from your writing.
5.
Add your
own story
Readers like reading about the writer and his/her journey. They
often appreciate hearing a few personal insights about you (who has brought them
to a post). You can always tell your readers a little bit about yourself and how
you operate (like I give my examples, you can also read about me in the ‘About
us’ page at the top of the site). The more you talk about yourself, the more people
will like reading your blogs. So what part you’re willing to share with your audience?
6.
Make sure
to add keywords
Guys, keywords are the most significant part of your
website/blog. No matter how lengthy content you have written, but you not rank
on Google’s Search engine results page (SERP) if you don’t add enough keywords.
The keywords help in keeping the SEO quality on the top. Therefore, make sure
to use keywords at least 4-5 times in a 350-word article. But don’t do keyword
stuffing otherwise Google will penalize your site.
